Haec ingressurus [l]imina orer[is] Amice tua[e]||ANYONE WHO ENTERS THIS HOUSE BECOMES A FRIEND
LIVE THE CHARM OF AN AUTHENTIC ARISTOCRATIC RESIDENCE
CLOSE TO THE CITY BUT FAR FROM THE CHAOS.
AN ARISTOCRATIC VILLA BETWEEN MILAN AND LECCO.
Inside the Villa, there is a cultural and artistic heritage of a great value handed down from generation to generation: furniture, furnishings, paintings and frescoes that tell 200 years of history through the life of the families who have inhabited it from 1780 until today.
Above the main entrance, located at the end of the porch, at the top of a short ramp of five steps, there is an inscription in Latin:
ANYONE WHO ENTERS THIS HOUSE BECOMES A FRIEND
Emblematic phrase that evokes the spirit and hospitality to which the villa was and is dedicated.

Osnago
Osnago is a pretty village in Brianza of Roman origin which, as already mentioned, was a holiday destination for the Milanese aristocracy in the 1600s. In addition to Villa Galimberti (known as Casa Alta or Cà del Podestà), Osnago hosts other historic residences of great value such as: Villa Arese Lucini, Villa Galimberti De Capitani, Villa Ambrosini Spinelli, the other Villa Galimberti (called the Palazett or Casa Bassa), all of them, including Villa Galimberti are included in the FAI circuit.

The rooms
The sleeping zone is located on the first floor. A long corridor divides the rooms for those facing the park and those facing the entrance courtyard.
At our guests’ disposal there are four large rooms of 25 square meters and a family suite, consisting of two adjoining rooms, to accommodate 4-5 guests. A bed for a child is always available on request. Each of the rooms is equipped with a modern and elegant private bathroom built in May 2023.
Each room bears a female name, dedicated to extraordinary women who lived between the 18th and 19th centuries.
The villa
The northern portico of the Villa consists of seven arches, originally frescoed in honor of Napoleon’s campaigns in Egypt and Syria (1798-1801). The magnificent interior features the original floors of Lombard terracotta, vaulted coffered wood ceilings, and themed frescoes in each room. Especially noteworthy are the frescoes in the western library and hall with medallions depicting the other properties of the Borromeo d’Adda family.
The park
The arboreal patrimony of the park extends for about two hectares and is controlled by the Superintendency of architectural and landscape heritage of Lombardy; it preserves monumental plants and numerous tree essences, among these are the last specimens of field elms and the tallest Gingko Biloba in Lombardy, as well as two rare specimens of Royal Oak and Deodara Cedar, which are over hundred years. In the past, there was a very rare Lebanon cedar, over 300 years old, which suggests again that Villa Galimberti is an exclusively historic place of this area.
